Ma\u00e9saganggang.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A bell-rattle idiophone consisting of twenty-three small bronze clapper bells suspended from a metal rod spiral that is connected to a central wooden spindle. The spindle is in turn hung vertically from a wood rack (<em>gayor<\/em>). The bells, all approximately the same size, are sounded simultaneously when the performer, who holds on to the bottom end of the spindle, shakes the spindle, producing a high-register jingling sound.
