
A bell-rattle idiophone consisting of twenty-three small bronze clapper bells suspended from a metal rod spiral that is connected to a central wooden spindle. The spindle is in turn hung vertically from a wood rack (gayor). The bells, all approximately the same size, are sounded simultaneously when the performer, who holds on to the bottom end of the spindle, shakes the spindle, producing a high-register jingling sound. Found only in the palace kodhok ngorèk gamelan.
